I've been going to Stephanou's for a couple of years now and am very very satisfied with their service. They do good work at good prices, and they're a long-standing family-owned business. The guy who runs the place, Tom, doesn't smile or bother with pleasantries but he is a good honest businessman and treats his customers well. Recently they did a diagnostic on my car and Tom told me he thought it would be under warranty if I had the work done at the dealer. This will probably save me $500 dollars. I'll be a loyal customer here as long as Tom is in charge, and if the next person is as good as he is, even longer. It's about a mile to the regional rail station; I don't live in Lansdowne so it's a bit of a walk when I have to drop off or pick up my car. P.S. It's actually a Liberty service center now, no longer Sunoco.
This place is reliable, honest, neither slow nor fast, and is economical. It is best to call them during working hours, describe the issue(s), and set an appointment for drop off. They allow you to drop the keys through a mail slot and leave your car if dropping off before they open. They call you if there are issues and when the auto is ready for pick up. They offer greats services, at good prices, give decent estimates, and communicate any issues during the process. The only drawback is that Tom is kind of a curmudgeon. He is a very honest and trustworthy person, but is grumpy nine times out of ten. My wife and I have been going to Stephanou's for about seven years or so. They are awesome.
Tom and Nick are good guys. I've been going to their place of business for seven years, and they've been honest and helpful every time. When my air conditioner went out in my car, they told me that they weren't sure they could fix it 100% and that I might end up draining a ton of money with it, especially since my car was pretty old. A lot of places out there might have made some empty promises and tried to take me to the cleaners. If you don't know a lot about cars and just want to find decent, hard-working people who level with you and get the job done, look no further. Definitely worth your time and money. I try and get gas here just to support these guys and their business which has been in the neighborhood for a long time.
I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Came here and asked them to take a look. They found the cause (small nail - it happens) and suggested that they fix with interior patch. They could have sold me a new tire - I even asked if that would be better - and service man said that it's better to patch since the tire has at least one more year of life in it. Quality work done in under 15 minutes for a fraction of the price of a new tire. Everyone was incredibly Friendly. I can't recommend them highly enough.
You have always been there for me whenever I needed you. No materr how big or little you always fitted me in your schedule and did the with the professional quality work, one would expect. Thanks for being there for me!
I have an old car I'm nursing along. I had multiple things needing done to it all at once. Tom and the gang scheduled their work around my job shifts, even though it meant bringing the beast back four separate times. No charges to my credit card till all the work was done two weeks later. Amazing service!
Yes, I would recommend a friend. I am very pleased with the work that you do on my car. I may have hit the wrong button saying that I don't want you to send me any more e-mail, and if I did disregard it. I am pleased to hear from you.
